So the mountains have been challenging and the driving has been long, hard and hot.
We have made some changes to our plans and are all happier with the extra travel time as well as more adventerous stops.
We are in Boise, Idaho until tomorrow morning (7/29) when we head to Ogden Utah.
Thursday (7/30) we will leave Ogden, Ut for Cheyenne, Wyoming.
Friday (7/31) we will leave Cheyenne, Wy for Lincoln, Nebraska
Saturday (8/1) we will leave Lincoln, Ne for St. Louis, Missouri
Sunday (8/2) we leave St. Loius, Mo for Atlanta, GA
***If we need a days break in driving (like today) we have room to buffer.
We will hang in Atlanta for 4 days then head up the coast to DC via Clemson (SC) 8/6, Charolette (NC) 8/7, Richland (VA) 8/8 and on into DC area 8/10. We should be in DC around the 10th. We will have a solid 5 days in DC area with no driving or traveling.
We are aiming to leave DC on the 15th to start heading home... giving us 10 days to make it back to Auburn to return Allyson to her mom by the 25th... I have to be at teacher training by the 26th (even if half commotosted).
That's the new plan... we have average 330 miles of mountain driving each day so this new plan of only 440 miles of more "flat land" won't be so bad.... I am thinking positive.
